Shock return for TWO Coronation Street favourites next week
Carla Connor and Peter Barlow are set to return to Coronation Street next week...
Emotions run high in next week's Coronation Street as Carla Connor makes a surprise return to the cobbles... and boyfriend Peter Barlow isn't far behind her.
Coronation Street fans will know that Carla has been missing ever since going on a downward spiral following the factory roof collapse that killed Rana Habeeb on her wedding day.
But as Peter's desperate search to find his missing girlfriend drove him back to drink, he is now in rehab and Carla has no idea.
Next week sees Roy and Johnny head to the hotel they now know Carla has been staying in, and they're shocked to find the state it has been left in.
But what worries them more is the fact she is no where to be seen and has left her kidney medication behind.
Realising it is more vital than ever to find Carla, the pair return to the cobbles downhearted that they can't track her down.

But as Roy confesses to Johnny that he regrets throwing Carla out of his flat and will never forgive himself if anything happens to her, little does he know she is lurking in the shadows, listening to every word.
Roy is stunned when he gets home to find Carla in his flat, but his joy at seeing her soon turns to concern when she starts telling him she believes Rana is still alive and Kate has been lying to everyone about her death.
As Roy tells Carla that she needs medical help, she refuses to go to hospital, but when she starts asking after Aidan, it is clear to the cafe owner that she needs help and fast.
When Carla wakes in hospital the next day, she is freaked out to see Roy and Johnny as he bedside and only asks for Peter.
Little does she know her disappearance knocked Peter off the wagon and he is currently fighting his alcohol addiction in rehab.
Roy realises that seeing Peter could help Carla's recovery and tells Ken, but Ken is adamant that Peter needs to focus on his own recovery and asks Roy not to let Peter know that Carla has been found.
Whether Roy listens to Ken's advice or not is being kept under wraps, but someone must tell him about Carla being back, because by the middle of next week he is at her side in hospital.
Doctors tell Peter that Carla is being sent home with antipsychotic drugs, and he vows to nurse her back to health.
But is Ken right and will Peter jeopardise his own recovery by focusing on making Carla better?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
