The Voice winner Stevie McCrorie has admitted he needs to work hard to make sure his charm doesn’t wear thin.
Scottish firefighter Stevie made it to number six in the singles chart last weekend with his cover of Adam Levine’s Lost Stars, but told TV Times that he would only be loved for winning the show for a short amount of time.

He said: “It’s a dream come true and I feel fortunate to be the first contestant from The Voice to release a single straight away and for it to do so well.

“I don’t want to fail. There is only so long people are going to love the fact that you have won, so it is about getting into the studio as quickly as possible and starting work on an album, gigging and connecting with fans.
“I know I have a task on my hands, but I will work really hard.”
Stevie added that his mentor on the show, Ricky Wilson, had told him to look to his wife Amy for support.

He said: “I even know Ricky’s mum and dad and he said I’m part of his family now. We just clicked and I think he could see in me something he saw in himself.
“His best advice was to tell me I’m not going to be able to do this without Amy. I want to stay a family man.”
