Strictly Come Dancing: Mark gets the boot!
Olympic swimmer Mark Foster has become the latest casualty of Strictly Come Dancing 2008 after losing out to Andrew Castle in the dance-off. It was the second time that the 34-year-old - who had been the bookies' favourite to leave - had been in the bottom two, although on the previous occasion the judges had saved him and sent home chef Gary Rhodes. This time around however they voted unanimously to save GMTV presenter Castle and his dance partner Ola Jordan, after they had reprised their Viennese Waltz. "Under pressure one couple cracked and one held it together," Craig Revel Horwood said of his decision to save Andrew and Ola, while Bruno added it was "obvious that one couple had the edge tonight". Foster had failed to impress the judges with his Paso Doble on Saturday night's show. He finished bottom of the scoreboard with just 16 points out of 40 after the panel described the routine as a "painful shambles". "You look like a god but you dance like a geek," Bruno Tonioli told him. Afterwards, Foster paid tribute to his dance partner Hayley Holt. "I've had the best time," he said, "I'm sorry I let you down." Next week's show will see each of the ten remaining couples performing a different dance.
