Magician Paul Daniels has become the latest casualty of Strictly Come Dancing 2010, following the second public vote of the series. The 72-year-old lost out to Michelle Williams and Brendan Cole, who also found themselves in the bottom two. It was the first time that both couples had been in the bottom two - although Paul, who had been the bookies' favourite to leave, was sent packing after he was revealed to have the fewest number of votes. "I've had a wonderful time, I really have," he said afterwards. "If I'd had a terrible time I'd tell you. And Paul also thanked his dance partner Ola Jordan. "You're welcome round any time," he joked. Paul is the second celebrity contestant to get the chop this series after musician Goldie was voted off the show last week. He finished bottom of the judges' scoreboard on Saturday's show with just 16 points out of 40 for his rumba. "Parts were magical," Len Goodman told him, "parts were comical. Parts were diabolical." Eleven couples made it through to next weekend's show, while Tina O'Brien, who was unable to dance this week after contracting chicken pox, was given a 'bye' through to next week. However she will have to leave the competition for good if she is not well enough to perform next Saturday. Among those making it through on the public vote were favourites Matt Baker and Scott Maslen, as well as Pamela Stephenson, who scored the highest marks so far this series for her rumba with partner James Jordan. Anne Widdecombe also made it through, as did Peter Shilton who narrowly missed out on elimination last week. The news that he had avoided the bottom two came as a relief to Len Goodman after he declared on Saturday night, "If you're in the bottom two this week I'll show my bum in Tesco."
