Andy Day was in the house!

Strictly Come Dancing viewers got a surprise on the latest show as CBeebies star Andy Day popped up in the audience.

Andy, who’s a regular presenter on CBeebies and stars in his own series, Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures, was constantly enjoying camera time on Saturday’s Strictly.

It seems the 37-year-old star was in the audience to cheer on fellow CBeebies star Dr Ranj. On Saturday’s show Dr Ranj and his partner, Janette Manrara, performed a Quickstep to "Prince Ali" from Aladdin.

And Andy could be seen flashing his trademark grin and clapping warmly after Dr Ranj finished his routine.

Andy Day audience Strictly Come Dancing

Every parent knows Andy Day from CBeebies! Andy was spotted having a great time in the audience of Strictly tonight

Despite Andy's support, Dr Ranj didn't impress the judges, especially Craig Revel Horwood. Craig scored him just four.

But CBeebies fans didn't care, they'd spotted Andy in the audience! And they rushed to Twitter to celebrate.

One viewer wrote: “The best part about watching Strictly Come Dancing tonight is Andy Day from CBeebies in the crowd dancing along to everything.” Another Tweeted: “Andy Day is in the audience !!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Another wrote: “Andy Day’s face staring at me from the front row on Strictly. No dinosaur adventures here lad…”

And Andy's appearances on the show didn't stop there! He could also later be seen cheerily clapping along as Steps star Faye Tozer and her partner Giovanni Bernice danced the Quickstep to “You’re the One That I Want” from Grease.

As Faye walked onto begin her routine, Andy could be seen in the front row.

Faye enjoyed a great evening as her performance seriously impressed the judges, who all gave her dance a score of nine. Even Craig was impressed. Could Faye be an early tip to win the show?

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC1.
