Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas reveals on The Graham Norton Show she hardly ever gets stopped in the street by fans of the dance show.
After replacing Len Goodman as head judge on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing, Shirley Ballas has become a household name. However, she reveals on Friday Night's Graham Norton Show that she can still pop out for a pint of milk without being mobbed by fans.
She says on Graham's sofa, “No one sees me because everyone is glued to their cellphones. I think three, maybe four people have recognised me and I’m okay with that.' She added that her new found fame has been a shock to the system but also incredibly exciting.
"Going from being a dance teacher to suddenly being the head judge was a little overwhelming, but it’s amazing and thrilling. I get butterflies because I have never done TV before."
When asked if she fancied audience favourite Debbie McGee to win the show, Shirley wouldn't be drawn on the matter saying, “It’s an unpredictable year. Let’s wait and see – the audience is unpredictable. I love them all."
Joining Shirley on Graham's sofa are Hollywood stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlburg, Mel Gibson and John Lithgow who are all starring in Daddy's Home 2 which is currently showing at cinemas across the UK.
