BBC newsreader Fiona Bruce has revealed she turned down the chance to star in Strictly Come Dancing because it is too "formal".
The broadcaster, who has spent more than a quarter of a century at the corporation, is regularly touted as a contender for the dance show.
She told the Daily Telegraph: "The call has come many, many times.
"I've always said no. Not because I'm snotty about it but that structured formal dancing is so not me. I just want to get down on the dancefloor."

Bruce is one of the BBC's most familiar faces and has presented flagship shows including the News At Six, Crimewatch, Call My Bluff and Antiques Roadshow.
Strictly has had success in the past with newsreaders, with Susanna Reid and Natasha Kaplinsky both taking part in the BBC1 ballroom show.
Last year's series was won by Caroline Flack, who beat celebrities including Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge and EastEnders actor Jake Wood to win the glitterball trophy.
Former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, singer Peter Andre and EastEnder Shane Richie are among the names being mentioned in connection with the new series.
