Take Two: English remake vs international original Rotten Tomatoes score
Which movie scored better on Rotten Tomatoes?
James McAvoy stars in the new movie Speak No Evil, which is an English-language remake of the 2022 Danish movie of the same name (aka Gæsterne). As of September 12, the 2024 new movie has a better score on Rotten Tomatoes score (89%) than its predecessor (84%). That got us thinking, how have ever well known English remakes compared to the international original they were based on? Seemed like the perfect theme for another edition of Take Two.
We've picked six examples of international movies that got an English-language remake and are asking you: which of them had the higher Rotten Tomatoes score? One thing to note, if the movies have the exact same title, enter the year that they were made as your guess. Otherwise, 50/50 chance on all of them, so give it a try!
