TERROR for THIS Home and Away family amid suicide fears
There's panic for the Astoni's when Ben goes missing after hitting rock bottom...
Home and Away's Astoni family have been to hell and back over recent months, with Ben being wrongly arrested for smuggling drugs, leading to his world falling apart as he lost his business and his life savings before spiralling into a dark depression.
Viewers saw Maggie reach the end of her tether with her husband yesterday when his depression continued to spiral with Ben refusing to get any professional help.
The pair had an argument, with Maggie delivering the ultimatum than unless he got help she was done.... but have Maggie's words done more harm than good?
But just when the family thought things couldn't get any worse, today's Home and Away (6pm, see our TV guide for full listings) sees Ben leave a note before leaving the caravan park he's been living at since moving out of the family home... causing his wife Maggie to fear the worst.
After speaking to his youngest daughter Coco on the phone, Ben is reminded on his broken family and starts to blame himself.
As he gets back to his caravan, he starts to pack his bags before writing a note... which turns out to be for Alf.

After leaving his caravan keys and the note with Ryder because Alf is away, he gets in his car and heads out of town, and it seems even Maggie's phone calls aren't enough to bring him back to the Bay.
As Ben sits alone in the dark in his car, contemplating the state his life has become, Maggie is at the Stewart house about to have dinner with best friend Roo.

But her evening soon takes a sinister turn when Ryder lets slip that Ben left town earlier on and left a note for Alf.
Maggie immediately thinks the note is a suicide note and fears the worst, while Roo nervously offers to read the letter. But reading the note doesn't do anything to calm Maggie's nerves, because it sounds exactly like Ben is saying goodbye.
Maggie is beside herself with panic and races off to find her husband... but after reaching Summer Bay from top to bottom, Ben is still nowhere to be found.
As Maggie calls Ziggy to beg her to keep calling her dad, Maggie is convinced something terrible has happened to her husband... just as Ben walks in the front door.
Maggie is overwhelmed with relief at seeing Ben is okay... but her happiness soon turns to worry when Ben is clearly more broken than ever, having just found himself at the point where he thought about ending it all.
Will this be the point that Ben finally gets the professional help that he so desperately needs to help him piece his life back together?
