The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: another murder?

With Sheila in jail for the murders of Tom and Hollis on The Bold and the Beautiful, everyone thinks they’re safe. But what if there was another murder?

There’s a sense of safety in the B&B circles now that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is locked up. She’s the lead suspect in the murder of Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) and Tom (Clint Howard), but she insists that she had nothing to do with their deaths.

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) thinks Sheila is absolutely the one who killed them, but Hope (Annika Noelle) can’t figure out what her motive would be. Naturally, most of the Forresters and Logans are in Steffy’s camp; Sheila was a nurse and she’d be the perfect one to hatch an "accidental overdose" double murder plot.

Of course, it doesn’t make sense. It makes no sense at all. Sure, Sheila had her issues with Tom and she told Hollis to dispose of Tom’s backpack, but that’s not a reason to kill them, especially knowing how much their deaths would hurt Deacon (Sean Kanan).

So what if another death takes place while Sheila is locked up? What then?

We’re still thinking Poppy (Romy Park) or Li (Naomi Matsuda) are responsible for the murders. Tom would have been intentional, as he was aware of Poppy’s past, and Hollis would have been collateral damage because he saw Tom’s letters.

Li would have access to the drugs and the knowledge to dose them both, and so would Poppy. Remember those "special mints?" Poppy knows quite a bit about drugs, and lately, the Nozawa siblings have been acting very strangely. Li, as you’ll recall, didn’t even bother trying to help Tom when he collapsed while Sheila was right there with him.

So who would make a good Victim #3? How about the newly returned Jack Finnegan (Ted King)? Sure, he just came back to the show after a long time away, but he’s a thorn in Li’s side after being unfaithful, and he has a connection to Poppy that she probably doesn’t want anyone to know about. As an added bonus, getting Jack out of the way would eliminate the only other person who could potentially jeopardize Poppy’s relationship with Bill (Don Diamont).

Jack is a great potential victim, but with Sheila locked up it wouldn’t help Li and Poppy, and in fact, it could draw unwanted attention to them. Killing Jack only really works if Sheila is out of jail and is available to be framed.

A third murder would send everyone in the world of The Bold and the Beautiful into chaos. It could give Sheila an automatic get-out-of-jail-free card, which leads to a whole other set of complications, while it opens up the possibility of a serial killer on the loose…or walking amongst everyone.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS and the following day on Paramount Plus. Check your local listings to see when it comes on where you are.
