Li Finnegan has lots of reasons to hate Sheila Carter in The Bold and the Beautiful. Would the good doctor resort to murder to get rid of Sheila forever?
After Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was released from jail on a technicality, the lives of everyone around her were thrown into upheaval. Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) marriage almost ended because of Sheila's interference. Steffy was attacked by Sheila's body double. Now, two people who were close to Sheila are dead. Given her history, it's easy to see why people might point to her as the prime suspect.
But what if this is a huge frame job? What if it was a huge frame job to kill two birds with one stone? Allow us to explain.
There are plenty of people who would love to see Sheila Carter go away, but perhaps no one as much as Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). Not only did Sheila try to drive Li off the road, she also tried to kill Finn and Sheila. And the list goes on.
Lately, though, Li has been faced with another situation involving her sister, Poppy (Romy Park). Tom (Clint Howard) was a ghost from Poppy's past and he was about to cause trouble for her by telling people that he's Luna's (Lisa Yamada) father. Not only would this be devastating for Luna, but it would destroy the happy memories between Poppy and Bill (Don Diamont). As it happens, Poppy and Bill's magical night was actually a one night stand for Poppy, who was with Tom at the time.
Tom's return could have jeopardized everything for Poppy, so we think that Li, as the protective big sister (who also has a long history with Bill and owes him a debt of gratitude), killed Tom to keep him quiet. Hollis' death could have been a complete accident.
It was strange when Li sat back and watched after Tom collapsed. As a doctor, you'd think she'd rush in to help him but she didn't. That's strange. Then again, if she killed Tom then it makes sense she wouldn't want to be near him.
With Tom dead, Li could set up Sheila as the culprit, effectively making sure that Sheila is gone from their lives once and for all. This would help everyone in Li's life. Is she capable of murder, though? We think that Li would do anything to ensure her family stays in a good position, which means Finn needs to stay with Steffy and Poppy needs to stay with Bill. We think Li is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Sheila Carter away from her family for good.
