They might play a vicious serial killer and the detective out to bring him down in The Fall, but in real life Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are the best of friends.
Gillian shared a snap of her and Jamie on Facebook as they finished filming the third series and she gushed about her co-star.

“Jamie Dornan, sweetest man alive, just wrapped season 3 of The Fall. You’ll never meet a nicer serial killer,” she wrote.
Viewers watched as the last series ended with a heart-stopping cliffhanger as a shot Paul Spector was cradled in DSI Stella Gibson’s arms, his life hanging in the balance after a bloody ambush.

The picture confirms that at least Jamie’s character must survive in some capacity if he’s back on set in Belfast – but we’ll have to wait until later this year for the five-part series to return to find out how.
Gillian is also about to return to screens as Dana Scully in The X-Files alongside David Duchovny after a 13-year absence. The new series premieres on Channel 5 on Monday, February 8.
