Former Voice finalist Bo Bruce has hit out at show bosses after being dropped from her record label.
The 29-year-old singer - real name Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce - finished as runner-up to Leanne Mitchell in the first series of the show in 2012.
But despite enjoying greater success than Leanne - scoring a top 10 album with Before I Sleep - she has now ended her contract with Mercury Records, and blasted them for not promoting her.
"I'd been fighting with my record label after they didn't bother doing any promo for my last single Alive and then they tried to put out another single without any back-up," Bo told The Sun.
“So I put a stop to it going out, pulled the video and said that it is not being released if you won’t work for me properly.
"I have no idea how I lasted so long without anyone championing me."
An insider close to the singer said: "X Factor have a history of supporting their talent. But Bo failed to hear from BBC producers after the show finished."
So far the track record of The Voice contestants has been mixed, with Leanne's first album failing to sell, while this year's winner Andrea Begley has enjoyed only modest success.
The show is due to return in January with new coaches Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson replacing Danny O'Donoghue and Jessie J.
