The 10 remaining acts in X Factor 2009 have tackled the ever-popular 'big band' week in a bid to remain in the competition. And this time around the acts performed a diverse range of songs accompanied by a 35 piece orchestra - some opting for traditional big band classics, others experimenting with newer songs. First to perform this evening was Olly Murs, who once again wowed the panel with his sassy performance of Bewitched. "You've got to have style, charisma and confidence. You've got all three," gushed Simon. They weren't quite so enthusiastic about Lloyd's rendition of Fly Me To The Moon - despite his attempts to liven up the performance with a backflip. However Miss Frank's version of the Frank Sinatra song That's Life won them raves reviews. "This is the first time in the live show when I’ve started to believe in you as a group. You look fantastic… I can now see some chemistry," Simon told them. Rachel Adedeji, meanwhile, went for a complete change of image in her attempt to stay out of the bottom two this week. The 18-year-old was sporting a different hairstyle and brightly coloured sparkly dress - and the panel loved it, as well as her rendition of the classic Proud Mary. "Give Rachel a chance," Louis said, "she deserves to be on that stage." Next up was Jamie Archer, who received a mixed response for his version of U2's Angel Of Harlem, which he only sang at the last minute on the advice of his mentor Cowell. Also getting mixed reviews was Stacey Solomon, who dazzled the judges with her floor-length evening gown but didn't impress them completely with the Disney classic When You Wish Upon A Star. "You look like a little princess," Cheryl told her, "but it wasn't the best I've heard you sing." However the next two performers, Danyl Johnson and Joe McElderry, wowed the judges. Danyl's rendition of Feeling Good won a standing ovation from Cowell while Walsh called it the "most authentic performance of the night". And he was equally impressed with Joe. "I think you'll be in this competition till the very end." Lucie Jones, meanwhile, delivered a performance of My Funny Valentine which Cheryl described as "stunning" - while the evening was rounded off with John and Edward performing the Ricky Martin song She Bangs. Once again the judges appeared slightly stunned by their over the top performance, although Cheryl admitted the pair were becoming her "guilty pleasure". "Every week," she added, "I can't wait to see what you come out with next!" The results will be announced on Sunday evening's show, with one more act leaving the competition for good.
