In a week that sees the return of the Netflix Pablo Escobar crime thriller NARCOS (Friday) and the Canadian supernatural medical drama SAVING HOPE on Sony (Tuesday, 9pm), here are three more thrilling thriller series from around the globe...
WOLF CREEK Tuesday, FOX, 10pm Based on the 2005 Australian film of the same name, the six-part psychological thriller sees John Jarratt reprising his role as murdering psychopath Mick Taylor, wreaking havoc in the Australian outback. 11.22.63’s Lucy Fry plays American teenager Eve who goes out for revenge when Mick slaughters her family during their holiday in the Northern Territory.
Beautifully shot, with a phenomenal soundtrack, and a standout performance from Fry as the hunted who becomes the hunter, this is one to watch. You can also catch it On Demand from Eureka Entertainment from Thursday 1 September on via iTunes, Amazon, PS and Xbox.

HUNTERS Wednesday, Syfy HD, 9pm From the executive producers of The Walking Dead and 12 Monkeys comes the sci-fi thriller based on the novel Alien Hunter by Whitley Strieber. This 13-part drama centres on FBI agent Flynn Carroll (Nathan Phillips), whose wife disappears. As he searches for her, Flynn uncovers a government unit that hunts down terrorists that are not of this world.
While its been cancelled in the US, this sci-fi has an intriguing premise and features an oddball turn from Nip/Tuck's Julian McMahon as an unhinged house music-loving junkie. Oh, and all 13 episode titles are named after song by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.

THE NIGHT OF Thursday, Sky Atlantic HD, 9pm Hailed by Variety as ‘compulsively watchable and extraordinarily rewarding’, this new eight-part HBO crime drama stars Riz Ahmed (soon to be seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as a Muslim college student who finds himself at the mercy of the US justice system when a spontaneous run of events leaves him incarcerated as the sole suspect in a murder trial which soon draws the attention of the media at large.
With only the advice of a scruffy, streetwise defence lawyer, Jack Stone (John Turturro), to aid him, Naz is left on his own to survive a maximum-security prison as the slow wheels of justice begin to turn.
With all episodes also landing on Sky Box Sets this week, you won’t have to wait a week for your next fix of this classy and compelling series.
