Ready or Not, 6pm, BBC1

If you love a game show where innocent members of the public are surprised, quizzed or put in embarrassing situations to win cash prizes, you’re going to love this new teatime comedy show. Voiced by Paddy McGuinness, it features a number of game show hosts ready to ambush unsuspecting passers-by around the UK at any moment. Look out for games including The Lift – in which CBBC duo Sam & Mark surprise shoppers in a lift transformed into a game show studio – and Quiz Mark, where Lycra-dressed comedian Matt Ralph runs around the country giving away tenners for every correct quiz question. So, are you ready or not? Rating: ****

Moody cop Philip Norgaard has been acting a little oddly throughout the hostage crisis, and the truth about his connection to the kidnappers comes out as the final double bill gets going tonight. Meanwhile, Naja puts herself in grave danger when she volunteers to help with a daring rescue attempt… Rating: ****

Fanny Cradock Invites You... to a Cheese and Wine Party, BBC iPlayer

A treat for fans of retro cookery shows, this tasty morsel was first broadcast in 1970 and is now part of a feast of food shows in iPlayer’s From the Archive section. So if you’ve got a crowd coming for Easter, let the glamorous Ms Cradock pass on her tips for hosting the perfect soirée… Chin chin! Rating: ****
