Burma with Simon Reeve

In the first part of his latest two-part travel documentary Simon Reeve reveals a beautiful country beginning to blossom in a new era. On one hand, life is improving for many in Burma (AKA Myanmar) now there’s a democratic government. On the other, the world was shocked last summer at the persecution of the stateless Muslim Rohingya people and their mass exodus from Burma into Bangladesh. Burma is a vast country with a complex history, yet Simon effectively presents a comprehensive picture of modern Burma’s beauty and optimism, and also its brutality and darkness.
