What’s On TV Tonight? Our Pick Of The Best Shows: Tuesday 14th November
TV Times tops picks for tonight
What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight three of the best shows on telly tonight for Tuesday 14th November
The A Word, 9.00pm, BBC1
There is an abundance of fresh difficulties for the Hughes family this week, as Joe starts school at a special facility in Manchester and they have to adjust to a new routine of early starts and a long commute. While Alison is anxious about him settling in, Paul is still fretting over whether they are doing the right thing and he gets a sobering glimpse of the potential future when he sees new employee Sophie’s autistic teenage son, Mark, having a meltdown. There are tough times ahead for Maurice, too, and he is left reeling when Louise delivers a massive bombshell. Elsewhere, as James makes plans and expects Rebecca to fall in with them, Nicola is given pause for thought following a revelation from Eddie. Rating: ******
Jo Brand’s Cats & Kittens, 8.00pm, C5
Fresh from supporting eliminated contestants on Bake Off: An Extra Slice, Jo Brand turns her attention to saving little kitties from precarious situations – she’s a softie, really! Following RSPCA officers around the country, and scrubbing in to help with surgery back at the vet’s, Jo introduces us to pussycats in peril. Our favourite tonight is Lola, who’s been stuck up a chimney for days. How can she be enticed down? Rating: ****
Road to Mexico, times vary, BBC2
The chef continues his journey down America’s Pacific Coast Highway replacing Cornwall with California as he relives his 1968 road trip. With the sunroof down, Rick is in his element as he gets closer to the Mexican border, stopping along the way to sample authentic culinary treats and revel in nostalgia. This week he hits Hollywood and visits movie stars’ favoured foodie haunts, before exploring the Mexican district. Rating: ****
More previews tomorrow.
