What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight three of the best shows on telly tonight for Sunday 18th November

Howards End, 9.00pm, BBC1

As the classy Edwardian drama continues, tragedy strikes when Ruth Wilcox passes away and her family is left perplexed and angry after they find a note saying she wants to leave Howards End to Margaret. Will they fulfil her wishes? An oblivious Margaret is, ironically, busy house-hunting and to complicate matters, her acquaintanceship with Henry Wilcox is developing into something more… Leonard Bast is also back in the Schlegels’ orbit following a surprise visit from Jacky, but as Margaret and Helen take him further under their wing, Henry offers some advice that could cause more problems… Rating: ****

Blue Planet II, 8.00pm, BBC1

Blue Planet 2 Attenborough

Survival in the open ocean is at the forefront of this week’s episode, which showcases creatures living in our remotest waters. The hunt for food is often tough here, but there’s remarkable footage of spinner dolphins, mobula rays and tuna enjoying a rare feast after targeting a shoal of lantern fish. The episode also looks at how ocean currents benefit some creatures, including the stunning but sinister Portuguese man-of-war jellyfish, which drifts along snaring fish in its deadly stinging threads. The biggest threat in the open ocean could be man-made, however, and there are sad scenes of a pilot whale carrying around her dead baby who may have been poisoned by plastic contamination of her milk. The Chase: Celebrity, 6.30pm, ITV

Bradley Walsh hosts The Chase

Which of the four celebrities is going to outsmart one of the country’s finest quiz brains? Tonight, crime writer Mark Billingham, restaurateur Aldo Zilli, Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter and TOWIE’s Joey Essex take it in turns to face down the Chaser, while genial host Bradley Walsh keeps the show moving and the banter bubbling, working hard as he tries to get the Chaser to crack a smile, a grimace… anything. Rating: ***

More previews tomorrow.
