No. 8 - The Fantastic Four
The Fantastic Four franchise seems to be one that producers continue to revive, despite the fact that the story line fails to enthuse superhero fans. Before the 2005 version of Fantastic Four came the 1994 version, which failed to emotionally invest the audience in the fates of the team.
In 2015 The Fantastic Four was revived with Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and given a larger budget and all-star cast. Side note: this cast included Chris Evans, which contradicts the Marvel Universe, as he later stars in Captain America. Despite the popular cast, the story line again fell flat. Another decade later a prominent cast was again assembled, a dull storyline failed to make use of the acting talent. Since the franchise is revived pretty much every decade, 2025 may already be a year to fear the return of Marvel’s cursed Fantastic Four .
