Best TV shows on TV tonight
The Graham Norton Show, 10.45pm, BBC1
Graham’s back in the studio after his stint chatting to star guests from his own home (albeit hidden by a mock-up studio). But fear not, there will still be no air kissing or hugs, and the audience will be smaller than usual as Graham welcomes Dolly Parton and actor Riz Ahmed via video link, and Rupert Everett and comedians Lolly Adefope and Sara Pascoe sitting as far away as possible from each other in the studio. Róisín Murphy provides the music.

Mountain Vets, from 8pm, BBC2
With all that’s going on right now, this first episode of this new series is pure escapism, thanks to the stunning scenery of Northern Ireland’s Mourne Mountains, plenty of cute lambs, dogs and calves to coo over, plus the lilting voice of Line of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar narrating. There are some worrying stories with happy endings, too, like the West Highland Terrier saved from rat poisoning, a lamb who needs a cast for a broken leg, and a calf with an infected hoof. Heart-warming stuff…
★★★ HD
Brave New World, 9pm, Sky One/NOW TV
The vision of the future in this adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s 1932 novel is dark, disturbing and deeply compelling. Lab worker Lelina Crowne (Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay) and counsellor Bernard Marx (Game of Thrones’ Harry Lloyd) are hiding their dissatisfaction with life in New London where privacy, monogamy and family are outlawed in favour of sexual freedom and mood-suppressants. Watch out for a less-than-glamorous Demi Moore in a guest role. A fresh, thought-provoking take on the classic dystopian story.

Best box set to watch
Cobra Kai, seasons 1-2, Netflix
Thirty years after The Karate Kid trilogy of movies, Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny (William Zabka) are once again rivals, although their issues are now more complex, in a worthy follow-up to the film franchise. A fun, nostalgic and poignant series.
Best film to watch on TV tonight
Onward, Disney+
Pixar have done it again with this lovely tale of brotherly love, which has arrived on Disney Plus UK. Tom Holland and Chris Pratt voice siblings Ian and Barley, a couple of elves who live in a fairy-tale land where technology has overtaken magic, creating a world similar to ours. That all changes when they are forced into a magical quest in order to spend one last day with their deceased dad. Classic Pixar, with a genuinely funny script and characters to really root for.
