Wolf, 9 pm, BBC One
With twists aplenty, this deliciously creepy six-part thriller, which has a rich vein of macabre humour, will have you jumping out of your skin! Based on Mo Hayder’s novels, it centres on London cop Jack Caffery (Annika’s Ukweli Roach) who is hell-bent on discovering the truth about his brother’s disappearance.
As he goes to Wales to pursue a lead, little does he know that he is about to be drawn into an even more frightening maelstrom involving rich Matilda Anchor-Ferrers (a fabulously fraught turn by Juliet Stevenson) and her husband Oliver (Owen Teale), who become trapped in their lavish Monmouthshire home and at the mercy of sick psychopaths… Continues tomorrow.

Long Lost Family, 9 pm, ITV1
As the series continues, Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell help two more searchers find their lost family members. Jeanette Woodyatt was horrified to learn that her brother had contacted the family from America 20 years ago only for her grandmother to abruptly end the call with the news his father had died. Jeanette knew how devastated her father had been when his girlfriend had their baby (Jeanette’s half-brother) adopted.
Can the team help locate Christopher, now known as Graham, in the US? Elsewhere, Karen Turnbull from Paisley was shocked to learn about the existence of her younger twin siblings, Anthony and Jacqueline, at her mother’s funeral and asks the team to help reunite the family.

Extraordinary Portraits, 8:30 pm, BBC One
As the series marking 75 years of the NHS continues, Bill Bailey introduces Araf, who has been a paramedic for 26 years, to photographic artist Brock Elbank. Before they meet, Brock likens Bill to Cilla Black on Blind Date, and once he and Araf have learned a bit about each other, Brock decides, ‘I think you and I were separated at birth’.
As Scotland’s first Asian paramedic, Araf has experienced racism throughout his life and now looks out for people who are being bullied (he also gives talks about life-saving skills at local mosques), while Brock says he likes to fight for the underdog. ‘We’ve hit the ground running,’ he reckons. But will his portrait of Araf manage to capture all this?

Secrets of the Supermarket Own Brands, 8 pm, Channel 4
Denise Van Outen presents as the series returns to reveal helpful facts behind supermarkets’ own-branded products. With sales of so-called generic labels souring as consumers look to save money, Denise does a bit of investigative work.
She discovers that many top manufacturers including Kellogg’s, KP Snacks and Arla Foods UK (that make butter), produce own-brands for Aldi, Waitrose and Tesco, and she gives shoppers an easy way of identifying products made in the same factories. Thank you Denise, ka-ching!

Best box set on TV tonight
Silo is set in a tragic, toxic future, Rebecca plays Juliette, or Jules, an independent and hardworking engineer. Jules lives in a community in a giant silo hundreds of stories deep, which is the only way to survive on a planet where the air is poisonous. The survivors are forced to follow the strict rules they believe are meant to protect them. However some rebel against the regulations and dare to hope and dream for a better future.
These people are considered to be dangerous and the punishment for breaking the rules is simple — they are forced outside to "clean". And that’s a task they won’t survive.
