I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2022, 9 pm, ITV

The last two series of I’m a Celebrity... had to decamp from Australia to Gwrych Castle, North Wales, due to the pandemic. And even though they were suitably entertaining, they were certainly lacking the magic of being Down Under. That’s all set to change this week as hosts Ant and Dec are heading back to the jungle as a new batch of brave - some might say stupid! - celebrities tackle three weeks of trials, critters, rice and beans in an attempt to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. Famous faces touching down include pop legend Boy George, DJ Chris Moyles, and Coronation Street favorite Sue Cleaver. So, go on celebrities, get yourselves in there! ★★★★ VW

Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy season 2, 7.15 pm, BBC Two

Stanley Tucci looks out over Sardinia

‘I’m very adventurous, but sometimes I have real fear,’ says a worried-looking Stanley. ‘I think this is one of those times.’ He’s in a remote, rugged part of Sardinia, where some local shepherds are making a sort of Italian haggis with sheep’s blood, offal and a sheep’s stomach. Thankfully, he likes it, and the rest of his Sardinian culinary journey is much easier as he tries the local bitter honey, bottarga and ‘carta di musica’ bread and meets ‘the king of tuna’. As the UK weather turns colder, Stanley’s Italian trips to sunny climes are more and more welcome as a brief escape from winter. ★★★★ JP

What do you get if you combine two of ITV’s best-loved entertainment formats? An I’m a Celebrity… edition of The Masked Singer, obviously. Four secret celebrities are taking part in this jungle-themed one-off special, disguised as Cockroach, Kangaroo, Koala and, of course, Witchetty Grub, while panellists Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross attempt to work out who’s behind the masks with nothing but a singing voice and a smattering of clues to work from. Meanwhile, host Joel Dommett – no stranger to the jungle camp himself – is searching for extra hints to help them out… ★★★★★ SP

Dangerous Liaisons, Lionsgate+

This lavish drama series from Lionsgate+ (formerly Starzplay) imagines the early lives of lovers Vicomte de Valmont and the Marquise de Merteuil. Starring Glitch’s Nicholas Denton and The Serpent’s Alice Englert, it follows the pair as they exploit the nobility and each other to rise within the aristocracy. It’s packed with passion, blackmail and back-stabbing. ★★★★ TL

Best box set to watch on TV tonight

SAS Rogue Heroes, BBC iPlayer

SAS Rogue Heroes is a bold new drama from Steven Knight. (Image credit: BBC/Kudos/Rory Mulvey)

After his searing gangster saga came to an end after six series, Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight started looking for a new project and has found a cracker in this wartime drama about the creation of the Hereford-based Special Air Service – SAS. Another tale packed with mavericks, rule-breakers and antiheroes, this six-parter follows three British soldiers who terrorised Hitler’s forces in the deserts of North Africa, with Alfie Allen, Connor Swindells and Jack O’Connell having a ball in the lead roles. The result is a rollicking tale that feels like a cross between Band of Brothers and Knight’s previous hit series, so buckle up! (Also airing Sundays at 9 pm on BBC One) ★★★★★ SMA
