Best TV shows on TV tonight

Dreamland, 9 pm, Sky Atlantic/NOW (box set)

Dreamland on Sky Comedy is set in Margate.

Already a mum to two young boys, Trish (Freema Agyeman) is pregnant again and determined to have a girl this time. But in the middle of her carefully curated ‘manifestival’ (a pink-themed party to manifest a daughter), her estranged sister Mel (singer Lily Allen, making her TV acting debut) returns, and it’s clear the two have a pretty complicated history which their other sisters Clare (Gabby Best) and Leila (Aimee-Ffion Edwards) are about to get dragged back into. With shades of Benidorm via Margate, this coastal comedy from the makers of Apple TV Plus' Bad Sisters has a few rough edges but hints at a warm heart beating beneath.

The Dog Academy, 8 pm, Channel 4/All4 (box set)

Can this cockapoo be trained in The Dog Academy?

As C4’s training academy for complicated canines continues, destructive Dalmatian Lupin and owners Kelly and Emilien arrive in desperate need of help. Lupin is responsible for tens of thousands of pounds’ worth of damage at home, and trainer Victoria Stilwell must take both pet and couple under her wing. Jack Russell-cross Mya has a violent phobia of windscreen wipers, and retired owners Gill and John worry about the effect it’s having on their health. As storm clouds gather over the Academy, can trainers Nanci Creedon and Jo Pay fix the problem before the heavens open on the long drive home? Also tonight, new series The Dog House Australia follows on More4 (9 pm).

Love, Faith & Me: Our Supersized Christian Family, 10.40 pm (times vary), BBC One

Alex, Amy and their five kids in Sunderland

(Image credit: BBC/Milk & Honey Productions/Jack Taylor Davidson)

Aged 21, Amy was diagnosed with cancer and told she may never have children. So it makes it even more surprising that she and husband Alex, who live in Sunderland, are now parents to five young children, including identical triplets Abel, Asher and Azariah, despite the odds of such triplets being 200 million to one. This documentary shows how their Christian faith helps them to tackle the challenges they face, including both of them going back to work and planning a sixth birthday party for their eldest son, and how they are raising their boys with the help of the community.
