Joe Swash Teens in Care, 9 pm, BBC One
When Joe Swash tells the Minister for Children, MP Claire Coutinho, that he’ll be keeping a close eye on her work, you believe him. The star is fronting this documentary about the fate of teenagers as they age out of the care system.
As Joe travels around the UK meeting affected young adults and shining a light on the issues they’re facing, he strikes an easy rapport with the teens – and your heart will go out to them – while holding his own with the experts. This is a compassionate and worthwhile project putting an important subject in the spotlight.

The pursuit of pastry perfection intensifies as Bake Off’s new double act, Liam Charles and Ellie Taylor, welcome back the five remaining teams. They must create 24 identical tarts (gulp) and let their creative juices flow to present 24 peach melbas in ways never seen before.
As usual, judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden refuse to cut the chefs any slack, piling on the pressure by giving them five hours to create a pièce montée – 160 individual choux buns, inspired by a ‘Mad Science’ theme. The mind boggles!

Heat, 9 pm, Channel 5
In a drama set in Australia, the always entertaining Danny Dyer stars as husband and father-of-two Steve Cameron, who has been keeping some big secrets from his family. As the first of four episodes begins, Steve, his wife and their two teenagers arrive on their holiday with Steve’s mate and fellow expat Brad (Darren McMullen), who owns a stunning home in the Victoria bush.
With Steve’s wife becoming increasingly suspicious over his shifty behaviour and his daughter Mia convinced he’s having an affair, tensions are mounting, and with the threat of an encroaching bushfire thrown into the mix, the heat is on! Continues daily until Friday.

The Yorkshire Vet, 8 pm, Channel 5
Bumps and lumps seem to be giving our vets cause for concern this week. Julian Norton’s first client, Oliver, a large Münsterländer, has an aggressive tumour on his jaw. Julian can attempt to remove it, but the stakes are high for the 13-year-old dog.
Elsewhere, Matt Smith is called to a cow with a painfully swollen knee, and Peter Wright treats a red deer with an abscess on its face. But catching the animal is another job entirely… Just as well he’s hired a personal trainer for the imminent coast-to-coast charity cycle he’s signed up for!

In Is It Cake Too?, a fresh batch of bakers who specialize in hyperrealistic bakes are tasked once again to make the most unlikely objects out of cake — this time around, think baseball gloves, weekender bags, toilets and even the Mona Lisa herself — with the hopes of deceiving a slew of seasoned chefs and celebrity guests.
The new seasons sees 10 chefs hoping to take home their share of a $120,000 prize pot, so there's everything to bake for.
