Mark Cavendish: Never Enough, Netflix

Mark Cavendish: Never Enough is a Netflix documentary that takes us into the world of top class cycling.

By the end of 2016, world champion cyclist Mark Cavendish had the all-time record for Tour de France stage wins in his sights, needing just four more to equal Eddy Merckx’s 34. But what followed for ‘Cav’ was a horrific five years of injury, illness and, ultimately, clinical depression. This raw and honest documentary shows how that period almost cost him his career, his marriage and his family, but how he fought back from rock-bottom. And it details how he made a fairy-tale comeback in order to write his name in the history books.

Rob & Romesh Vs Crufts, 9 pm, Sky Max/Sky Showcase/NOW

Comedian pals Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan continue their have-a-go show by attempting to train their unruly family dogs – Rob’s whippet Fred and Romesh’s miniature goldendoodle Reggie – for a head-to-head agility course at Crufts. But things don’t get off to the best of starts in training when Reggie decides to go to the toilet in the middle of a fast and furious flyball challenge! Expect plenty of bawdy humour and belly laughs.

Broadcaster and recent MBE recipient Kate Garraway returns with another outing of her prime-time show delving into the intriguing lives of famous faces. We’re expecting the chat to flow nicely tonight as her first guest is Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, who became good friends with Kate after the two were paired together on Strictly in 2007. Charmer Anton, who was born to a Hungarian father and Spanish mother, is sharing his rise to fame, from twinkle-toed teenager to ballroom pro and household name. Stars coming up later in the series include comedian and actor Omid Djalili and tour-de-force Ruby Wax, who certainly won’t be holding back.

Best box set on TV tonight

Silo, Apple TV

Silo on Apple TV+ sees Rebecca Ferguson plays engineer Juliette.

Silo is set in a tragic, toxic future, Rebecca plays Juliette, or Jules, an independent and hardworking engineer. Jules lives in a community in a giant silo hundreds of stories deep, which is the only way to survive on a planet where the air is poisonous. The survivors are forced to follow the strict rules they believe are meant to protect them. However some rebel against the regulations and dare to hope and dream for a better future.

These people are considered to be dangerous and the punishment for breaking the rules is simple — they are forced outside to "clean". And that’s a task they won’t survive.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Disney Plus

Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

With their last hurrah, Marvel’s ragtag space outlaws pull off one last job – to save the life of Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper). Writer-director James Gunn delivers a blazing adventure and gives the group led by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) a proper send-off. They are up against eugenicist The High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), and the movie strays into surprisingly dark material involving animal experimentation, but there is also quippy banter to balance that. Stuffed with imaginative set pieces and visuals, this is a blast of a goodbye.
