Tonight's EastEnders sees Kathy Beale and Masood Ahmed consider packing their bags and leaving the Square for a new life in Australia...

There's drama heading for EastEnders tonight as a newly reunited Kathy and Masood contemplate moving to the other side of the world and starting a new life in Australia.

EastEnders fans will know that Kathy has just got back from visiting Ben Mitchell in Portugal, and it seems she must have done some serious thinking about her future because, only moment's after she stepped foot back in Albert Square, she told Masood that she wanted them to have another bash at a relationship.

Masood was thrilled at the idea, but this is no flash in the pan romance for Kathy.

She announced that if they're getting back together then they need to think long-term... but do they both want the same thing from their futures?

Tonight's trip to Walford sees Masood make a shocking confession that he doesn't just want to go to Australia for Tamwar and Nancy's upcoming wedding, he has decided that he might like to go and live there permanently.

Last night's EastEnders saw Masood invite Kathy to Australia to be his plus one for his son's wedding, but while Kathy might be looking forward to a holiday, what will she make of moving to the other side of the world?

How would Ian feel if Kathy moved to the other side of the world?

It's no secret that Masood is leaving the soap after Nitin Ganatra, who plays the loveable restaurant owner, confirmed he was departing last month after being back in the role for just one year.

But will Masood be taking Kathy with him?

Masood was first seen in Walford back in 2007 as the postman husband of Zainab, and was the last of the original family to leave in 2016.

He then returned the following year with aunt Miriam and uncle Arshad, and his nieces Iqra and Habiba are set to arrive in the Square next week.

But while he might be departing once again, the character isn't being killed off so there is still hope for Masood fans that we might see him back in Walford once again. Watch this space!

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
