Union J star on incredible reaction to coming out
X Factor star Jaymi Hensley has said he has been overwhelmed by the 'incredible' support he has received from fans since coming out as gay. The 22-year-old singer with the TV show's boyband Union J confirmed his sexuality to The Sun and has since been flooded with positive messages from fans. Jaymi told the newspaper: "It's been amazing, really amazing. I have not seen one negative comment. I want to say a massive thank you for people's support. It has been incredible. "I have already had messages from young gay guys saying 'Thank you so much, I can look up to you', and that's what I did it for." Jaymi's bandmates - Josh Cuthbert, George Shelley and Jamie 'JJ' Hamblett - joined in the support, and tweeted: "Wanted to say how proud we are of our brother Jaymi for coming out and being proud of his sexuality! We are SO proud." Fans also sent messages to Jaymi's boyfriend of three years, 21-year-old hairdresser Olly Marmon. Jaymi revealed: "Olly has got loads of messages. I always knew people would find him, but he is totally overwhelmed with the support. It's really uplifting."
