Voice champion Andrea defends will.i.am
The Voice champion Andrea Begley has spoken out in defence of will.i.am after he took to Twitter to brand her victory 'so sad'.
The visually impaired singer was crowned surprise winner of the series on Saturday night, ahead of hot favourite Leah McFall - causing will to reportedly storm off set .
He later said on his page: "Andrea is amazing…dontGETmeWRONG…but we know who has the incredible voice."
However Andrea later said that she and will had patched up their differences backstage after the show.
"Every coach is 110 per cent behind their act and Will was definitely very much from the get-go behind Leah, and I’m not surprised that he said that," she explained.
"He actually said to me that had I been on his team he’d have the same level of support for me. It’s his act."
Andrea added: "He wants to support them all the way, and I have no doubt beyond the show Leah will do exceptionally well. She will be very successful."
