White guest stars on Portlandia
Jack White has made a silent guest appearance on cult US show Portlandia. The musician and former White Stripes frontman plays himself in a clip from the series. The dream-like scene sees Jack, who doesn't speak, encountering Fred Armisen, the co-creator of the show. Armisen enthusiastically shows off his collection of musical instruments to the 37-year-old. Armisen is best known as a long-standing cast member of Saturday Night Live, in which he's played figures including Barack Obama, Prince and Steve Jobs. He created Portlandia, which debuted in 2011, with former Sleater-Kinney member Carrie Brownstein.
