Wife Swap star guilty of child cruelty
Wife Swap star Lizzy Bardsley has been convicted of four offences of child cruelty. A jury at Bolton Crown Court took just over three hours to find the mother of eight guilty of the offences, which relate to one child who cannot be named for legal reasons. The 33-year-old, of Hurstead Road, Milnrow, Rochdale, showed no reaction as the verdict was returned on the three charges of wilful assault of a child under 16 and one count of wilful ill-treatment. Lizzie shot to fame for her loud-mouthed antics on the C4 reality TV series. Judge David Hernandez ordered the Probation Service to carry out a pre-sentence report in conjunction with social services, and added that all sentencing options would remain open. The Wife Swap star was granted bail on condition she resides at her home address. The case was adjourned until February 22.
