Ella Henderson, a former X Factor finalist, is celebrating a dazzling debut at the top of the album chart.
Ella's debut release Chapter One, which features best-selling singles including Ghost and Glow, has sold over 16,000 copies ahead of its nearest rival Ed Sheeran's album X.
"To be a part of the music industry as a whole is something I'm learning to embrace, just seeing my name up there with other artists I admire and look up to is so surreal in itself," the 18-year-old from Grimsby, Lincolnshire, told OfficialCharts.com.
"Being number one with my very first album is where a dream has met reality - it's a moment in time I will never forget."
The news was broken to her live on stage at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards, hosted by Nick Grimshaw at London's SSE Arena.
Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour is at number three, George Ezra's Wanted On Voyage is at four and Jessie J's Sweet Talker is at number five.
U2 also broke in to the top 10 for the 16th time with their album Songs Of Innocence. The album, which was originally released for free via iTunes in September, enters the chart today following its physical release earlier this week.
US singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor also notched up a third week at number one in the singles chart with her debut single All About That Bass.
She is now the proud star of the longest-running chart-topping track this year by a female lead artist. Only Clean Bandit's Rather Be ft. Jess Glynne, which spent four weeks at the summit at the beginning of the year, has beaten her as 2014's longest-running number one.
All About That Bass also notched up a combined chart sales figure of over 100,000 copies for each of the last three weeks.
