X Factor finalists to record charity single
This year's X Factor finalists are to record a single in aid of the charity Help For Heroes , according to The Sun. The paper reports that the cover version of Mariah Carey's hit Hero will be performed on the live show for the first time on October 25, and released the following Monday, in the run-up to Remembrance Sunday in November. "I’ve never heard Simon more excited about anything — there’s a real buzz about this single," an insider said. "It's going to blow everyone away when they hear it." And the charity's founder Bryn Parry added, "Everyone is thrilled to hear that The X Factor is supporting our boys and girls." Help For Heroes, which was launched a year ago, has so far raised over £12m to help rehabilitate injured troops. Both Simon, Louis, and former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne have been seen wearing the charity's wristbands as a show of support for the cause. The 12 X Factor finalists will be revealed in a special double bill of shows this weekend.
