David Cameron will be played by a little-known comic actor called Jonny Sweet in a docudrama about the Conservative leader's early years. More 4 has commissioned the show, which will also feature Christian Brassington, who played Tony Blair in a drama about his student days in 2005. This time Christian, 26, will portray London Mayor Boris Johnson in the show, which has been given the working title When Boris Met Dave. Programme makers confirmed that Jonny, who has previously featured in the cult E4 teen comedy The Inbetweeners, will play Mr Cameron. While Mr Cameron attended the University of Oxford, Jonny went to Cambridge. The 24-year-old newcomer is taking his one-man show titled Mostly About Arthur to the Edinburgh Fringe next month. The programme will trace the roots of the current generation of Conservative Party leaders at Oxford University in the late 1980s. Through interviews and short dramatic scenes, it aims to build a sense of the characters, the ideas and the battles of the era - as well as the balls and clubs such as the Bullingdon. Mr Cameron and Mr Johnson were both members of the exclusive, all-male drinking and dining Bullingdon Club at the end of the 1980s, which has long enjoyed a reputation for wild hell-raising. Director John Dower said previously: "We have talked to those who knew them at the time to document the roots of the two men at the forefront of the current recovery of the Tory Party. "Everyone has seen the famous Bullingdon Club picture, but this film goes behind the scenes to find out what Oxford was really like for David Cameron and Boris Johnson."
