Full Casualty spoilers for Duped below…

Stevie Nash’s love crash

Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) is on cloud nine following another night of passion with her married lover, fireman Rich Walker (Michael Keogh) when Casualty airs on BBC2 this week.

The loved up consultant is almost incredulous when he promises to tell his wife about their affair and ask her for a divorce.

She heads to work in a state of bliss but there Stevie's dreams for the future turn into a nightmare — clinical lead Siobhan McKenzie (Melanie Hill) shows her a photo of her husband and Stevie realises Rich is her boss’s other half!

Not only that, she’s promised to attend Siobhan’s flood relief fundraiser at the Hope & Anchor later that evening where - you guessed it - Rich will be the star guest!

Shaken, Stevie scurries off in tears and confides everything to her pal, nurse Faith Cadogan (Kirsty Mitchell), who promises to go with her to the charity event for support. This, as you can imagine, turns out to be one of the most excruciating nights of Stevie’s life.

Nicole Piper makes a difficult decision

Junior doctor Nicole Piper (Sammy T Dobson) gets the shock of her life this week as the friend she’s acting as a surrogate for cuts off her expenses.

When Nicole first arrived in Holby, the doctor and her bestie Rosie Cornwall (Nicola Chegwin) had begun a surrogacy journey together.

Complications developed in their agreement two months ago, however, when test results revealed that it was almost certain the baby would have Down’s syndrome. Since then Rosie, who blames Nicole for an unspecified accident that's left her in a wheelchair, has iced the expectant medic out and officially insisted she gets a termination.

Nicole has adopted a wait-and-see approach, hoping that Rosie would change her mind. Yet this week she receives the message loud and clear as she comes to the realisation that there’s no denying Rosie’s position.

The talented medic is forced to make the decision she’s been putting off, and goes in search of Siobhan to tell her that she can no longer attend the major trauma course, as she will have a baby to look after…

Speaking to WTW, Sammy told us: "It’s a horrendous decision, no one wants to be in that position, but for her, she’s choosing this road and trying to make the best of a bad situation.” Full interview coming soon.

Iain sees red. Again!

It’s paramedic Iain Dean’s first day back at work since he was assaulted by a group of looters and he’s on edge before he even starts his shift…

Recently Iain (Michael Stevenson) has been struggling to control his impulses - and his temper! This week, as he and nurse Faith Cadogan (Kirsty Mitchell) drop her son Luka (Tom Mulheron) to school Iain’s startled by a boisterous child and screams at him.

Faith is shocked by his overreaction, but it’s Luka who suffers the most - having witnessed Iain’s previous assault he suddenly wets his pants in fear.

Iain is immediately apologetic, but with no time to go home and get changed, Luka is forced to go inside and ask a teacher for a spare pair of trousers.

Meanwhile, at work, Iain’s mood goes from bad to worse while treating pregnant woman Sky Fitch (Jamie-Rose Duke making her TV debut) as her husband Tom (Harvey Quinn, The Witcher) insists they don’t believe in modern medicine. Eventually, Iain persuades Sky to go to Holby Hospital, where she needs urgent surgery. Outside, however, Tom tackles the medic, who physically pushes him in retaliation! Then, in front of Tom’s young sons, Iain furiously tells him Sky would have died without their intervention!

Yet the biggest line Iain crosses is when he gets home… With Faith at Siobhan’s fundraising event, he’s on bedtime duties and it’s clear that something’s troubling Luka. The youngster eventually opens up and reveals he’s had a humiliating day at school, so Iain offers to teach him how to fight!

What could possibly go wrong?

Also in Casualty this week…

With Nicole’s recent news, it means there’s a space on the major trauma course for fellow junior doctor Tariq Hussein (Manpreet Bachu).

Tariq is completely buoyed by the news, although things are still clearly tricky between him and Rash Masum (Neet Mohan). And, sadly, they’re about to get a whole lot worse when Tariq makes a shocking mistake while treating Bora Apari (Luka Cvitkovic) and Rash reports him to Siobhan.

Later, when Tariq’s mystery woman Yasmin Zandi (returning guest Jeanie Hackman) turns up to see him at work, he’s on edge in case anyone discovers he’s started dating a patient!

Paramedics Teddy Gowan (Milo Clarke) and Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) are caught up in the dangerous mountain rescue of soldier Amy Bishop (Lowri Izzard, Hidden), in a story full of twists, turns and tragedy. During the rescue, Teddy really begins to empathise with what Jacob is going through...
