As usual, the host of the tournament participates in this inaugural match: that's Germany, with this first match of the Euros taking place in Munich's 75,000-seater Allianz Arena.

Germany have traditionally been seen as having one of the best European football teams but after losing in the first knock-out game of the 2020 Euros, it has a lot to make up for this time around. Under the leadership of coach Julian Nagelsmann it'll have to work hard if it wants to claim its first Euro title since 1996.

Facing Germany is Scotland, which was knocked out at the group stage in 2020 and didn't qualify for the Euros for the five tournaments prior to that. It'll face an uphill battle in facing Germany but with the other teams in the group being Hungary and Switzerland, it could still make it to the knock-out round if its next few group stage matches go well.

Let's skip the rest of the preamble and get to the meat — here's how to watch the Germany vs Scotland UEFA Euros match online or on TV.
