The Chase, fronted by Bradley Walsh, is ITV's biggest quiz show. It's been on our screens since 2009 and the format where the professional quiz players known as The Chasers try to chase down the contestants to stop them from winning is simply brilliant.

Here's when The Chase is on next, how to watch the show including catching up with old episodes, who the chasers are and whether you can currently apply to be on the show. It's been announced there will be a 15th anniversary special in September 2024.

We will regularly update this article with episode information including the contestants and whether it's a new episode or a repeat (see our TV Guide for full listings)...

Is The Chase on today? And what time is The Chase on?

The next episode of The Chase is on Friday, August 30 at 5 pm on ITV1. The series will then air in the same slot on ITV1 every weekday.

Friday's episode will see Neil from Stockport, Sally from York, Keletso from Nottingham and Jonny from Walton-on-Thames pit their wits against one of the ruthless Chasers in the hope of winning a potential prize pot worth thousands of pounds.

The Chase 15th anniversary special

The Chase 15th anniversary special will air on Monday, September 2 at 5 pm on ITV1. It’s not been announced yet what format the special might take. Could they mix things up and perhaps some of The Chasers might play the game instead of being The Chaser? Might Bradley play instead of host?

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV said: "The Chase is still the most watched programme in daytime reaching over 9.2 million viewers every week and having been streamed more than 23 million times in Q1 of this year alone.

"So, we're very excited and proud to be celebrating 15 impressive years of the show later this year on ITV1 and ITVX."

Who are The Chasers in 2024?

The Chase star Anne Hegerty

The Chase star Anne Hegerty

The current chasers in 2024 are Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Jenny Ryan, Paul Sinha, Darragh Ennis and Anne Hegerty. Anne, who's known as The Governess, once revealed to us that she was originally going to be called The Headmistress. "But in rehearsals, Bradley started calling me The Governess and I said 'Could I be that instead?' It’s a bit more kinky, a Governess is definitely more of a free agent than a headmistress."

How to watch The Chase in the UK

The Chase is screened on ITV1. But also past series are available to watch on ITVX. ITV X also has lots of other great shows to stream like the recent thriller Red Eye!

How to watch The Chase from anywhere with a VPN

You can watch The Chase on the streaming service above by using a VPN – no matter where you are in the world!

Normally a streaming service will know where you are trying to tune in from and block you if you're not in the right country but a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is an app that hides your location. That means you can access your usual sports and entertainment services even while you're traveling abroad.

Our favorite VPN is NordVPN, which is the No. 1-rated VPN in the world right now according to our sister site, TechRadar.

  • Download the app at NordVPN
  • Choose the location of the streaming service you want to watch (UK, US, etc)
